Healing Through Art & Mindfulness
Healing Through Art & Mindfulness is a bespoke, structured 6–8 week program designed to support emotional well-being through creative expression, mindfulness practices, and reflective art-based exercises. Each program is personalized to meet individual needs and intentions, offering a gentle and accessible pathway for self-exploration, emotional processing, and inner balance.
This program is designed for individuals navigating grief, loss, life transitions, stress, anxiety, or a desire to reconnect with self-compassion and inner peace. No artistic experience is required—this process focuses on expression, presence, and exploration rather than outcome or technique.
Sessions integrate a combination of guided art-making, mindfulness-based exercises, grounding practices, and reflective prompts to support emotional awareness and regulation in a safe and supportive environment.
Program Options
-
Private 1:1 Healing Through Art & Mindfulness (6–8 weeks)
-
Small group healing circles (4–6 participants)
Small group circles are intentionally curated to ensure a safe, contained, and supportive environment. Groups may be facilitated or formed by clients, depending on alignment and suitability.
These offerings may also be a meaningful complementary support for individuals working with counsellors, psychotherapists, social workers, or other healthcare professionals seeking creative, non-clinical wellness-based experiences for their clients.
Intent of This Program
This program offers a structured yet flexible container for creative reflection, emotional support, and personal growth. It is designed to meet individuals where they are and evolve in response to their needs throughout the 6–8 week process.
The emphasis is on building practical, sustainable tools that can be carried beyond the program, supporting ongoing emotional awareness, resilience, and self-care in everyday life.
About the Facilitator
Tanzina is a visual artist, educator, curator, and Reiki Master Teacher with a multidisciplinary practice rooted in art, mindfulness, and wellness. Formal training includes certification in Healing with Arts from Florida University and completion of a Mindfulness-Based Art-Based practices course at the University of Toronto.
A few years ago, a personal experience of significant and traumatic loss led to a period of intensive bereavement support. This included working with a bereavement therapist, art therapist, and engaging in a holistic approach to healing through Reiki, yoga, meditation, mindfulness practices, and spiritual support circles. This lived experience deeply informs the approach to facilitation, with a strong emphasis on compassion, presence, and accessibility.
Additional training and experience includes bereavement and palliative support courses as a hospice volunteer, providing care and presence to individuals in palliative stages, caregivers, and those experiencing grief and loss.
This combination of lived experience, formal training, ongoing research, and personal art practice informs a grounded and integrative approach to creative wellness facilitation. A variety of tools, reflective exercises, and mindfulness-based creative practices are brought together to support individuals in building their own personalized self-care toolkit for emotional resilience, healing, and well-being.
